Antique 1850 Kister Covered Wagon Porcelain China Head Doll 12.5"

Description

Up for auction is a lovely, antique, 'covered wagon,' china head doll with a cloth body. Her hair has a center part, and is painted black with molded sausage curls. She has peach lips, rosy cheeks, peach dots for nostrils, a thin peach line above her eyelids and dots at each eye corner. She has a shoulder plate head, porcelain lower arms and lower legs. Her coloring is white and she has painted black boots with heels with white button details.
She has a cloth body, which is stuffed hard, goes in at the waist and out at her hips. I don't know if her body, legs, and arms are as old as her head -  they may be vintage but they are not new.
Her dress is a sweet antique, cream colored dress with lace and a pale blue ribbon at her waist.
This doll is as sweet as can be!

Condition: This pretty girl has a 'beauty mark' on her cheek. She has 2 rubs to the back of her hair and two faint rubs to one side of her head. Her lace dress has a few unfinished edges on her collar. Her slip and pantaloons have some staining. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no odors.
