About This Vehicle
“The Giant Killer”, “Guts”,
“It’s Secretly a Sports Car”, “If you know about BMW Either you Own One or Want One”, this car had many slogans for a reason simply because they where the best. Here’s your opportunity to own this great investment.
This solid 1 owner California car is a well maintained garage kept, older restoration, that was overhauled inside and out in 2006. Vehicle never left the state of California and was sold and raised new in city of Santa Monica Southern Ca. All of this vehicles life was properly driven purchased new from a doctor past down from father to daughter. This vehicle is a full complete restoration inside and out, all done at no expense spared!
I have drove many 2002 and 1600 B.M.W. models and non of them come close to this one by far. I promise you’ll not find another 2002 BMW this worthy and pleasant to drive and own.
Drivetrain
This turn-key vehicle runs and drives like a dream this car will take you to where you’ll need to go highway worthy, transmission shifts out smoothly, very pleasant to drive. This BMW was mostly driven to local diner car shows, and occasionally on weekends.
The engine and transmission both have been rebuilt by German engineer professionals with hardly any miles on drivetrain. New clutch, all new wiring harness serviced rear axel. New aluminum radiator with cooling thermo electric fans. Approximately less than 8,000 miles since overhaul. Brand new front and rear complete brake system with all new brake pads, shoes, rotors, and cylinders all the way round, stops perfectly. This work has been done by the top shops here in Southern California who specializes in BMW. All parts been purchased at 2002 A.D. in Pomona California and. Pelican parts in Harbor City, and assembled by Benz and Beemers in Lomita CA. Since rebuilt of engine and transmission  here’s a list of mostly everything that’s been done, I’ll do my best.
All new gaskets and seals
All new pistons
New cam shaft
New crank shaft pulleys
New rocker arms
New valve lifters
New electric fuel pump
New water pump
All new belts and hoses
New radiator with thermo electric fans
New radiator rebuilt
New clutch and flywheel
New timing belt
New alternator
New spark plugs, wires, and coil
New distributor
New stainless exhaust from front to back
New fuel lines
New gas tank
New shocks, Coils and suspension work
Etc...well I think you guys get the point to much more to list.
Exterior
Very solid and straight car. Paint still holds up nice, repainted in it’s factory color, inka orange. Very clean door jams, engine bay and trunk. All rubber window seals and gaskets has been replaced after repaint when reassembled. All genuine German glass original except windshield.
Solid rust free floor pan, solid rust free trunk all original German sheet metal, mainly all original German BMW stamped factory lenses, side makers, grille, moldings and emblems
Original bumpers where recently re-chromed plated.
Interior
All interior is in very nice and presentable condition. The original door panels are well preserved and still holding up incredibly. It haves a new carpet, rear seat is original and surprisingly never sat in, recently professionally re-upholstered the driver bucket seat close as possible to factory spec. Head liner seems to also be original as well.
Probably won't make it to auction end so don't hesitate if you have been looking for a solid and rare breed of a California BMW.

Due to age and condition and proof of videos of start up running and driving, this vehicle is being sold AS IS without any refunds or compensations! This by far is not a Barrett Jackson vehicle but a nice older restoration that needs minor TLC. To help maintain my 100% positive feedback I want to be as accurate and truthful as possible Although restored in 2006 Being being 49 years old and cosmetically 15 years old
you may or may not
notice minor dings, paint blisters, scratches chips touch ups defects. aka character! I would recommend a new set a tires, although in good shape with high threads they are old, and A new mph speedometer cable it is a bit laggish. rear Ca plate does not go with car. Please bid to win.
